Geese in the Pond at Rock Springs Guest Ranch
Each year, two pair of geese would return to the ranch to nest in early spring, and raise their young together. Once the young were old enough, they spent the greater part of their time in the pastures eating grass, rather than on the water. Unlike the baby ducks, the goslings never got trapped in the pool to be rescued by the youth counselors.
