What is new, gnu? A wildebeest eyes us as we stop to watch during a safari drive at Schotia Safari Park. They're called gnu because of the noise they make.

As we drove around in an open air Landy, our guide, Rainier, did a quick u-turn. Over the radio, a maintenance worker announced that the lions had killed a wildebeest.

The alpha male lion was not at the kill, and this younger 5-year-old took over that role. A juvenile male relative waited a short distance away, kept from feeding by this lion.

The hungry juvenile male, watching a short distance away. Later, when the older male was not looking, he snuck in to feed.

Another great post. I find myself always worrying about the future and never living the moment. At times it is overwhelming and I have to force my self to stop and remember life is happening now and the only way for me to stay positive is to remember the little day to day successes. Those little wins seemingly contribute to a much more happy me which I can then project within my family. You mentioned in a previous post that dissolving the ego is way to fight the “I suck” moments. That is extremely helpful in remembering why the little wins matter.
That’s Right!…
